Banker sees we have a business account and offers us a line of credit for the business: Enticements: No Origination Fee No Annual Fee Interest rate, prime plus 1.67 % = about 5% All above if line is $10,000. Okay! Spend an hour with the paper work. Other owner had to come back to the bank on Saturday to sign "electronically". Reviewed terms again. Monday we get a call from Wells Fargo, we are approved for $100,000! Don't want $100,000. Discussed with the banker that all we wanted was a maximum of $10,000. Interest rate: 12.5% ..... what happened to prime plus 1.67%.... they don't know Annual fee: $350.00. ..... don't think so. Can we just have the $10,000? They can't do it. After they charge us for annual fees, we can "request" a reduction in the line of credit ????? How impressive ..... when offered services by Wells Fargo, request services be presented in writing, verbal has nothing to do with the offer.By Chris Fleming, May 02, 2017
